 CHANGES IN EDUCATION FUNDING MODELS AND RESOURCE ALLOCATION FOR CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION DURING COVID-19

During the pandemic period the three sectors of the Indian economy were affected and especially the career and technical education faced a serious problem. The upcoming students suffered due to lack of knowledge in career and technical education. So it proves that the students needs changes in education funding models and resource allocation.

The government announced curfew to control the disease. Due to which the school have been shut down and they had started taking online classes. Because of this the syllabus of that year have been reduced which resulted that the students gets only a half hand full of knowledge in that year. Secondly, the students from poor family didn't have proper internet connection. This is the hindrance for the students to attend the online class. and the students became lazy to study. When they enter to higher secondary , they scored lower marks because the students were not aware of the basics which have been thought in 7th and 9th . CTE programs have to bridge this gap so that the students could feel easier in their studies. The CTE programs can also provide devices like laptop  or tab to the students from low income families. They can also join their hands with some organisation. 

INNOVATION

The CTE programs have to find some ways to engage the students in remote areas so that could be innovation in their future. They can also create some online platform like edubrisk which provides the free education. This makes the students to spent more time in this and provides a quality education . Through this the students gets encouraged and it made them to move forward.

FUTURE OUTLOOK

The online platform continues to be used after the pandemic period also. As the coin has both head and tail. This also have an negative side .The students became lethargic and fails to listen the teaching thought by the teachers. They were fully depended on this online platform.

CONCLUSION

The impact happened during the covid-19 have been erased by the career and technical education . The students became confident enough to choose their career in their future and became life long leaners.
